In 2022, towards the end of my masters at the HKU, I was tasked with writing a thesis on a topic of my choice.  What started out as a simple piece of advice for creators of all disciplines quickly drifted and morphed into a philosophical essay on the nature and origin of art. 

Through synthesizing ideas and concepts from different fields of science, philosophy and art such as evolution, the concept of quality and the story circle, I try to explain and unify these historically separated streams of thought into a comprehensive theory.
